Our target is approximately 500 districts and cities that we measure for the quality of telephone, SMS and internet,” said Dany at the Telecommunication, Post and Broadcasting Monitoring Center Socialization event. , in Central Jakarta, Thursday (16/11/2023).
The Sigmon application is available and can be downloaded on the Play Store. When opening the application, on the start page, users can select several services such as Speed Test, Web Test, Video Test, and Multi Test.
To be able to use the Speed Test section and press the Start icon. Wait a few moments to do a Speed Test and the download and upload speed results will appear.
Sigmon itself is part of the Telecommunication Monitoring Center (PMT) which was recently launched by Kominfo.
At PMT, he explained, Kominfo opened a channel for complaints from the public regarding the quality of internet services, for example if the internet was not good, say it was slow, the upload and download access speed was not good or, for example, there were complaints about telephone services.
Kominfo will forward complaints from the public to telecommunications operators, whether cellular operators or fixed broadband operators, to improve the quality of their telecommunications services.
Unfortunately, when CNBC Indonesia tried this application, they couldn’t find the complaint button intended to report poor internet quality.
