Samsung is catching up with Chinese cellphones, where is it losing? Tech – 10 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – There is one feature of Chinese cellphones that is still not available on Samsung, even the most premium smartphones. Until now, Samsung has not adopted fast charging technology in its cellphones.

Gizchina stated that the Galaxy S23, Samsung’s flagship cellphone, can currently only receive a maximum of 45 watts of electrical power. Other cellphone manufacturers have now increased their flash charging capabilities up to 150 watts.

The news circulating on the internet could be good news for Samsung cellphone owners. The South Korean technology giant is said to be preparing components for fast charging.

Revegnus, a social media account that often leaks the latest features and changes in popular devices, reported developments regarding Samsung’s fast charging on Twitter X.

According to Revegnus, the transformer component supplier for Samsung recently introduced a charger product that can deliver 65 watts and 140 watts of power. This latest product from a company called Atum is predicted to be embedded in the latest Samsung cellphones.

However, some parties still doubt that the news that Atum means there will be an increase in charging speed on Samsung’s new cellphone.

The problem is, Samsung products are not only cellphones. The chaebol also produces laptops.

Atum’s newest product, especially the 140 watt transformer, could be used in Samsung brand laptops, not smartphones.

Rumors are circulating that the faster charging feature is not included in the list of new features introduced on the Galaxy S24.

If the flash charging feature is introduced on Samsung’s latest cellphone, it looks like it will only be available in the generation after the Galaxy S24.
