1. It’s called Campaigning for LGBT

Concert Coldplay’Music of the Spheres World Tour’ Jakarta was rejected by Geranati LGBT because they considered that Coldplay was campaigning Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT).

In their speech, the crowd threatened to burn down Coldplay’s stage at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium if the concert continued.

“Don’t let the event continue, the Muslims are angry, the people are angry, everyone will bring petrol and we will set it on fire later on the Coldplay stage,” said one of the orators at the British Embassy, quoted Monday (13/11/2023).

“We are not against concerts. This is not a random concert. This is because there is LGBT propaganda in it,” continued the orator.

2. It is said that he does not empathize with Palestine

Besides LGBT, the masses also said that Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ concert in Jakarta had to be canceled because the concert was held during the war between Israel and Hamas in Palestine.

According to the orator, this concert, which is most eagerly awaited by music lovers in Indonesia, is not suitable to be held. Because, this is considered not to show empathy for the victims in Palestine.

“Even if it were an ordinary concert, at this time of the concert, in Palestine there are many people who have been massacred and killed who we should be mourning, why should they force us to have fun,” said the orator.

Apart from that, the crowd also highlighted potential viewers who were willing to buy tickets to Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ concert for millions. According to them, the money to buy tickets should be diverted to donations to the Palestinian people.

“The cheapest ticket purchased was IDR 2 million, the most expensive IDR 11 million. Can you imagine if all of that was donated to Palestine?” said the orator.
