Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection I Gusti Ayu Bintang Darmawati greeted representatives of PNM Mekaar customers and the women’s community in Aceh. He greeted the community at the Miracle of Indonesian Women event, as well as a roadshow commemorating the 95th Mother’s Day, on Wednesday (22/11/2023).

This woman, who is often called Bintang Puspayoga, had a dialogue with 4 great Acehnese women who were very inspiring. Three of the four women who had a dialogue with the Minister of PPPA were customers of PNM Mekaar (Fostering a Prosperous Family Economy) Aceh Branch who were not only active in running a business but were also the backbone of the family.

The stories of each of these great women inspired Bintang and made him increasingly believe that women have a big role in providing benefits to themselves and the environment around them. Commemoration of Mother’s Day (PHI), said Bintang, is not only a momentum to appreciate the services of mothers but the role of women as a whole as told by PNM Mekaar customers.

“PHI reminds us all that the justice, prosperity and peace we desire will never be achieved without the participation of women. Women are not only able to motivate others but are also able to empower, strengthen and have an extraordinary impact,” he said in a written statement, Thursday (23 /11/2023).

On the same occasion, the Main Director of PNM, Arief Mulyadi, emphasized that PNM as an empowerment institution through financing and assistance which has joined the Ultra Micro Holding also appreciates the struggle of its female customers. PNM’s active customers in Aceh reach 310 thousand people. Arief said that their business struggle could be an example of economic independence for the people of Aceh.

Apart from providing financial capital, PNM is also committed to providing intellectual and social capital. Empowerment is directed at improving customer welfare, especially economic development which creates a multiplier effect on social development and environmental development.

“We can learn from their stories that women are great because they fight not for themselves but also for their families and those around them. We believe that if PNM continues to provide assistance to grassroots women’s groups, prosperity will be achieved more quickly,” concluded Arief.
