Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Halodoc terminated employment, aka layoffs, employees. However, the healthtech startup did not say how many employees were laid off.
Layoffs are said to occur due to macroeconomic, political and geopolitical conditions.
Halodoc’s VP of Government Relations & Corporate Affairs, Adeline Hindarto, said that the changes that occur require all business players to continue to adapt, evaluate business strategies regularly, and transform to ensure the best strategy to face industry dynamics.
“Facing the current industrial climate, we need to prepare an organization that is responsive to future changes (future fit organization), and for that, companies must carry out rightsizing,” he said in a written statement to CNBC Indonesia, Wednesday (14/11/2023) .
Halodoc said that this step was not an easy decision, but it was necessary to ensure that the company could continue to grow sustainably.
In the process, employee rights will be fulfilled in accordance with applicable regulations and laws.
The company also ensures that every affected individual has health protection until December 2024.
Adeline emphasized that this transformation was carried out with careful consideration, in order to maintain the company’s relevance and sustainability in the future.
In the future, Halodoc will focus on improving services and expanding access to health services for the community, with an orientation towards productivity, agility and long-term business sustainability.
