Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Car sales in October 2023 were recorded to increase slightly, only 352 units or 0.44% to 80,271 units compared to September 2023.
National car sales in October 2023 were also still lower by 13.86% compared to October 2022 which was recorded at 93,194 units.
Since the start of 2023, October sales were the third lowest. Where, the lowest sales since the beginning of this year were recorded in May with only 58,981 units, followed by September with 79,919 units.
Gaikindo data shows that Toyota and Lexus still achieve the highest sales. Toyota and Lexus sales in October 2023 were recorded at 27,656 units, up from a month earlier which reached 26,164 units.
Meanwhile, LCGC car sales in October 2023 actually showed an increase. Namely, from 17,148 units in September to 20,695 units in October.
“Cumulatively, national car wholesale sales in January-October 2023 reached 836,049 units. Meanwhile, Astra Group car sales in January-October 2023 were recorded at 465,869 units with Astra car wholesale market share of 56%. We hope that national car sales can continue to be positive until the end year,” said Head of Corporate Communications Astra Boy Kelana Soebroto in an official statement, Monday (13/11/2023).
