Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Bobby Nasution and Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s membership status as PDIP cadres is still a matter of controversy. However, PDIP firmly said that Bobby and Gibran’s membership matters were closed. This was stated by PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto.
“It’s all closed books, the important thing is that Mr. Ganjar and Prof. Mahfud win with full confidence,” said Hasto at the High End Building, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (14/11/2023).
Quoting CNN Indonesia, Hasto said that the Solo City and Medan City PDIP DPCs had given letters regarding closing membership books to Gibran and Bobby.
“Everyone, Mas Gibran is the same. Mas Gibran has closed the book, the DPC has given the letter the same contents. The only difference is the date and signature, but the substance is the same,” he said.
Hasto emphasized that currently PDIP is focused on winning Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD in the 2024 presidential election, no longer dealing with Bobby and Gibran.

“Everyone is concentrating on winning Mr. Ganjar and Prof. Mahfud with number 3, whose language is good. Trisila Weda is straight and honest,” concluded Hasto.
Previously, the proposal to dismiss Bobby Nasution was contained in Notification letter Number: 217 /IN/DPC-29.B-26.B/XI/202 dated November 10 2023 which was addressed to the Medan City PDIP DPC to Bobby Nasution. The letter stated that Bobby Nasution had been proven to have violated the Code of Ethics and Discipline for Party Members by not complying with party regulations and decisions because he supported the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs promoted by other political parties.
“Declaring that Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution no longer meets the requirements as a member of the PDI Perjuangan,” wrote the letter.
The decision was issued taking into account a number of regulations, especially those that apply internally to the party led by Megawati Soekarnoputri. The letter was signed by the Chairman of the Medan City PDIP DPC Hasyim and Secretary Roby Barus.
Meanwhile, Gibran officially became vice presidential candidate for Prabowo Subianto’s Advanced Indonesia Coalition. However, until now, there has been no decision letter from the Solo City PDIP DPC regarding Gibran’s status.
