Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The pair Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD officially registered as presidential candidates (capres) and vice president (cawapres) in the 2024 Indonesian presidential election (Pilpres). Both submitted a number of files to the KPU, Thursday (19/10/2023) afternoon at around 13.10 WIB .
“I, Mr. Mahfud and my wife are present here with the supporting party to submit the documents. And, ladies and gentlemen from the KPU Commissioner have received them in full. Hopefully this will be the start of legality being fulfilled,” said Ganjar to reporters.
“God willing, Mr. Mahfud and I, through the vision and mission of the program prepared, can make Indonesia even more agile,” he said.
“And of course we ask for support from the community and hopefully the KPU, God willing, will be neutral, providing the best service for the progress of the nation and state,” he added.
On that occasion, the heads of the coalition parties also accompanied him. They include PDIP General Chair (Ketum) Megawati Soekarnoputri, PPP Acting Ketum Mardiono, Hanura Ketum Oesman Sapta Odang, and Perindo Ketum Hary Tanoesoedibjo.
“As is known, those who have the authority to register are political parties or combinations of political parties with the KPU “… submitting the required documents for registration is only one measure whether they are complete or not,” said KPU Chairman Hasyim Asyari.
“And we have checked the candidate candidate documents today and we declare them complete,” he added, referring to the Ganjar-Mahfud file.
“Then the verification or administration research stage. Verification The two categories are whether the document is true or valid. “So, if there are documents that are incorrect or not yet valid, the time period for verifying the requirements can be met,” he explained.
