Pidang Langley’s combined district league division has appointed Mick Woodham as the new manager.
The Slough -based side has moved to appoint the boss of the former Windsor after Michael East resigned at the end of the season.
Langley won the One Esoteric Division One Division Cup in the last east match of the penalty shootout over Holmer Green after a 1-1-draw had switched to Woodham who was experienced to fill his shoes.
Woodham has been out of management since the summer of 2023 when he departed from Windsor, but had wanted to return to managerial hot seats since then.
The statement released by Langley on the promise said: “Langley FC is happy to confirm the appointment of Mick Woodham as the first team manager.
“Mick arrived at the club with a lot of experience in non-liga football, after successfully at various levels. His background included a highly respected spell that was responsible for Windsor FC, where he received a reputation to build competitive teams and provide consistent results.
“The club believes Mick’s knowledge of the game, tactical sharpness, and intimacy with the local football landscape makes it an ideal candidate to lead the club to our next phase of development.
“Preparation for the coming season has been going on, and further updates regarding the coaching staff and pre-season schedules will be distributed in time.
“Langley FC welcomed Mick to the club and waited for positive and progressive campaigns in front.”

In 2017/18 he brought Windsor to the quarter -finals of VAS FA where they were beaten by the finalists finally Stockton Town. The following season, Woodham people reached the fifth round and the final of the Hellenic League challenge trophy.
As a manager, Woodham is responsible for Bracknell Town, Staines Town and two spells with Windsor.
