Martin Keown has told Chelsea that they will fail in their efforts to sign Ethan Nwaneri from Arsenal.

Nwaneri, who became the youngest player of the Premier League in 15 years and 181 days with the beginning of his senior for Arsenal in 2022, made 37 appearances in all competitions for the Arteta team last season.

The 18 -year -old player has been thought to be another Arsenal Academy graduate to make a significant long -term impact on the first team, however, he only has one year left in his contract and can leave freely transfer next summer if the new agreement is not agreed upon.

Chelsea had conducted an investigation for Nwaneri during their negotiations on Arsenal’s agreement to sign Noni Hikeke.

The report also claims that Nwaneri is considering his choice because of concerns about his play time in the upcoming campaign.

However, Keown insisted that Nwaneri would get a chance to impress under Arteta and there was no doubt that the midfielder would extend his contract with Arsenal.
