Golkar Legally Supports Prabowo’s Vice Presidential Candidate Gibran, Where is Jokowi? News – 2 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi)’s eldest son, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, is said to be a potential vice presidential candidate (bacawapres) accompanying Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 elections. In fact, the Golkar Party has expressed its support for Gibran, who currently serves as Mayor of Solo.

Quoting CNN Indonesia, Saturday (21/10/2023), the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, said at the National Meeting of the Golkar Party, proposing and supporting Gibran Rakabuming Raka to be appointed as a vice presidential candidate to accompany Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 elections.

“I knocked on the Golkar Party’s proposal which I will submit to Pak Prabowo who was brought to the party chairman’s forum meeting, Alhamdulilah,” said Airlangga.

So where is President Jokowi amidst the news that Gibran will be Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate?

President Jokowi was actually already at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta when the Golkar Party officially supported Gibran as Prabowo’s vice presidential candidate. His eldest son became a strong candidate after several parties in the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) agreed, such as PAN and Golkar.

Quoting a broadcast from the Presidential Secretariat, President Joko Widodo early this morning after a visit to China and Saudi Arabia.

Jokowi and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo arrived at Soekarno Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten on Saturday (21/10/2023) at around 02.25 WIB.

In the video, he is seen welcoming the arrival of the head of state, namely Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono, and National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

Airlangga Called Jokowi

Meanwhile, Airlangga was reportedly summoned by President Jokowi to the Palace this afternoon.

To CNN Indonesia, Golkar Party DPP Chairman Dave Laksono stated that Airlangga was summoned to the Palace at 17.00 WIB.

And, the plan is that today Jokowi will also fly directly to Surabaya to attend National Santri Day on October 22. Where it is written on the East Java Provincial Government’s Instagram page.

It was stated that Jokowi would attend the 2023 Santri Apple as a ceremony inspector at Surabaya Heroes Monument Square, on Sunday (22/10/2023). This was followed by the Kubro Diploma & Inauguration ceremony of PP Pagar Nusa, to the Kiai Sepuh gathering.
