Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – For the sake of holding the Coldplay ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ Jakarta concert at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, PT MRT Jakarta will extend train operating hours, Wednesday (15/11/2023).
Quoting from the promoter’s official Instagram account, PK Entertainment (@pkentertainment.id) announced that the concert, which promotes sustainable and environmentally friendly energy, urges the audience to use public transportation to reduce the amount of carbon.
Meanwhile, the public transportation recommended by the promoter is TransJakarta and MRT Jakarta.
In the same upload, PK Entertainment announced that the MRT Jakarta operational schedule was extended with final departures from Istora Mandiri and Senayan stations at 01.10 WIB.
“MRT Operating Hours EXTENDED – Last train from Istora Mandiri & Senayan Station: 01.10!” wrote PK Entertainment, quoted Wednesday (15/11/2023).
Meanwhile, Corporate Secretary Division Head of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), Ahmad Pratomo, said that the MRT operating pattern only applies for one day, namely during the Coldplay concert.
“The change in operational patterns is a form of follow-up to the Decree of the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Service Number e-0158 of 2023 concerning the Assignment to PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) to Providing Railway Services to Support Coldplay Concerts,” said Ahmad in an official statement, Tuesday (14 /11/2023).
“The above operating pattern is only valid for one day,” continued the statement.
The following is the Jakarta MRT operation pattern for Wednesday (11/15/2023).
– Operating hours 05.00-01.30 WIB (16 November 2023) 5 minute headway at 07.00-09.00 WIB
– Operating hours 17.00-19.00 WIB, 10 minute headway at 09.00-17.00 WIB, and 19.00-01.30 WIB
The operating pattern for the following day will return to the normal operational schedule, namely Monday-Friday from 05.00 to 00.00 WIB with a departure time between trains every five minutes during busy times (07.00-09.00 and 17.00-19.00) and Saturday-Sunday from 05.00 to 00.00 WIB with a departure time between trains of 10 minutes.
For information, Coldplay concert goers can get off or get on at the nearest GBK station, namely Senayan or Istora Mandiri.
