Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Thinking about strong passwords to protect digital data such as email, online banking and social media accounts really makes you confused. You have to combine letters, numbers and symbols that are difficult to guess.
That way, it will be difficult for irresponsible individuals to crack the password. Unfortunately, there are still many people in the world who don’t want to be complicated and choose simple and easy to remember passwords.
Password management tool service NordPass collaborated with independent researchers to release a study that revealed the 200 most commonly used passwords on the market throughout 2023.
Of the 20 most marketable passwords in the world, there are 17 that can be cracked in less than 1 second.
Don’t set a password that is too easy and marketable, because your crucial data could become a victim.
The NordPass study found that 86% of cyber attacks were carried out by stealing credentials, online accounts, emails and passwords. Nearly 20% of these items are mostly sold on the dark web.
