Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Google will start deleting Gmail accounts that have not been used for a long time. This will be done starting next month, December 1 2023 to be precise.
All Google services will implement this policy. For example, it is not used to access things like Gmail, Google Search, or YouTube.
“The changes do not affect you unless you have not been active on your Google account for two years or have not used your account to sign in to any Google service for more than two years,” Google said in an email notification received. CNBC Indonesiaquoted Saturday (18/11/2023).
Google began distributing notifications to users whose accounts were inactive. The reminder email will be sent approximately 8 months before the company takes action.
“After a Google account is deleted, the Gmail address for the deleted account cannot be used again when creating a new Google account,” explained Google.
