El Nino itself is a climate phenomenon characterized by extreme drought and minimal rainfall. As a result, most areas in Indonesia are still being roasted by the intense heat of the sun because the rainy season has arrived late.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) summarizes daily maximum temperature records in Indonesia for 2 November 2023 at 07.00 WIB to 3 November 2023 at 07.00 WIB. Based on monitoring, the Kertajati area, West Java recorded the highest temperature reaching 38 degrees Celsius.
Following in second place is East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) which was named the hottest city in Indonesia with the highest recorded temperature of 37.6 degrees Celsius according to the NTT Climatology Station.
