The Story of Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Proud of His Son Working as a Lifestyle Cashier – 1 hour ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin always manages to amaze fans with his stage performances. However, off stage, he is just an ordinary father who always wants to be close to his children.

Chris Martin was married to American actress Gwyneth Partlow for 13 years. From that marriage, they had two children, Apple Martin (19 years) and Moses Martin (17 years).

Apple Martin has now grown into a beautiful teenager. When he was a guest star on the show The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2020, Chris Martin told how he ‘snooped’ Apple moonlighting as a cashier at a clothing store.

“My daughter works in a clothing store. It’s her first job at Apple, and she’s turning 16 soon, I’m very proud,” said Chris.

Wanting to see his beloved princess do her first job, Chris decides to buy something from the store, hoping to greet Apple at the cashier’s desk. However, Chris said that Apple was actually angry when his father came without telling him.

When Apple saw her father in line at the register, she said “Dad, just go home.”

“I felt guilty, and finally moved to another cashier while holding a t-shirt, I was afraid of making him angry. Then, I paid for the t-shirt at the cashier and because I had brought Apple’s favorite chocolate candy, I said to the cashier ‘Can you help me give this to my daughter?’ And when I was about to leave, Apple shouted, ‘I love you, Dad!’”

Inherited his father’s musical talent

Apple is similar to Chris Martin in terms of singing ability. She performed Ariana Grande’s song “Just a Little Bit of Your Heart” with her father in October 2016 at a Boys & Girls Club fundraiser in Malibu, California.

Not only that, Apple Martin’s name even received songwriting credit for “Let Somebody Go” on Coldplay’s album, Music of the Spheres.
