Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia- The Ministry of Manpower ensures that the 2024 minimum wage will increase based on new regulations regarding wages, namely PP 51/2023 concerning Amendments to Government PP 36/2021 Number 36 of 2021 concerning Wages.
Member of the National Wage Council, Sarman Simanjorang, said the new regulations regarding wages are based on inflation, economic growth and certain indices that are adjusted to the region.
Meanwhile, the President of the Indonesian Trade Union Association (ASPEK), Mirah Sumirat, said workers hope that the 2024 wage increase will be decent and fair. Where the 15% figure expected by workers is a compromise figure.
