Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The research institute Counterpoint released the latest report regarding the smartphone market in Indonesia for the third quarter of 2023.
This report details the list of best-selling smartphones in Indonesia based on the size of their market share.
In this period, Samsung was crowned as the king of Indonesian cellphones. However, Xiaomi is listed as the brand that is growing the fastest compared to its competitors.
Counterpoint revealed that Samsung’s market share in Q3 2023 will be 20%. However, this technology giant from South Korea experienced a decline in annual growth (YoY) of -1. Previously they controlled 21% market share throughout Q3 2022.

In the next position is Oppo with a market share of 18% in Q3 2023. This figure is down -12% compared to the same period the previous year of 22%.

Then there is Xiaomi, the brand with the fastest growth of 30% YoY from 15% to 18% in Q3 2023. This company from China is trying to strengthen its supply, distribution and sales programs through price promotions or discounts.
Vivo is in fourth position with market share of 16%, even though in the same period the previous year it had a market share of 19%. As a result, the YoY growth value is -13%.
Meanwhile, Realme occupies fifth position with a market share of 10%. YoY growth rose 14% from last year, where the market share figure was 9%.
Febriman revealed that Infinix is in sixth position with a market share of 10%, previously they controlled 8%. This brings the growth figure to 17% YoY.
