Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia- General Chair of the Indonesian Telematics Society (Mastel), Sarwoto Atmosutarno, said that the increase in Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) through an increase in frequency usage rights (BHP) fees would lead to an increase in operators’ costs.

If this condition makes the operator’s regulatory burden above 12%, it will affect the continuity of Telco business and the expansion of national internet services.

Meanwhile, ITB Telecommunication Observer, Ian Joseph Matheus Edward, said that the tax increase could impact investment in the telco sector and efforts to overcome the digital service gap.
