Sri Mulyani Team Opens Voice About Hotel Sultan & Pontjo Sutowo News – 1 hour ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Director General of State Assets at the Ministry of Finance, Rionald Silaban, under the leadership of Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati, expressed his support for the Gelora Bung Karno Complex Management Center (PPKGBK) in confronting Pontjo Sutowo’s PT Indobuildco regarding the process of taking over the Sultan Hotel land which is a state asset.

Rionald explained that in the process of taking over the land controlled by PT Indobuildco, the Ministry of Finance had also established communication with the Ministry of State Secretariat as the manager of the PPKGBK Public Service Agency (BLU).

“That (Sultan Hotel) is in BLU GBK, but we continue to communicate with the State Secretariat. Basically we support what BLU GBK is doing,” said Rionald when met at the Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, Wednesday (22/11/2023).

Even so, he emphasized, regarding the dispute itself, the Ministry of Finance submitted completely to the legal process, including the matter of having PT Indobuildco leave the Sultan Hotel area.

“That’s a matter of law, yes, to each their own,” said Rionald.

Previously, PT Indobuildco as the manager of the Sultan Hotel dismantled the portal blocking the entrance to the Sultan Hotel from Jalan Jenderal Sudirman. The portal was created by PPKGBK last Tuesday (24/10).

PPKGBK has also opened its voice regarding the demolition of the portal at gate 5, which is the vehicle entrance to the Sultan Hotel, by PT Indobuildco on Thursday (26/10).

PPKGBK’s attorney Saor Siagian will report this to Polda Metro Jaya Jakarta. The report is based on the alleged criminal act of destroying Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning the Criminal Code as intended in Article 170 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 406 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of ATR/BPN Raja Juli Antoni emphasized that the government had won many times in court regarding the management rights case for the Sultan Hotel area. He also asked Pontjo Sutowo to respect the legal process that has occurred so far.

“It seems that humility is needed on the part of there that this is a country of law, the court has decided that the land legally belongs to the state, in this case the Ministry of State Secretariat,” said Juli.

Juli also explained that the Sultan Hotel land is a state-owned asset in accordance with HPL No. 1/Gelora in 1989 on behalf of the Ministry of State Secretariat cq PPKGBK. Therefore, he emphasized, PT Indobuildco is considered no longer entitled to occupy the land because the HGB will expire in March-April 2023.

“From there, we have also enjoyed the existing land for a long time (50 years) from hotels and apartments. I just urge you to obey the law,” said Juli.
