Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Prices of eggs and chicken meat at Pasar Jaya Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, were observed to be stable today, Thursday (23/11/2023). Meanwhile, the price for chicken eggs is IDR 28,000 per kg and the price of chicken meat is around IDR 40,000-50,000 per head, depending on the size.
A trader at Pasar Jaya Gondangdia, Jaim (48 years) said that the price of eggs is currently priced at IDR 28,000 per kg. This price has decreased from previously reaching Rp. 29,000-Rp. 30,000 per kg.
“The price of eggs is dropping again, now it’s IDR 28,000 per kg. That price started from… around 3-4 days ago. Previously it was IDR 29,000-IDR 30,000 per kg,” said Jaim when met by CNBC Indonesia at the location.

Meanwhile, the price of carcass chicken for small size or weighing under 1 kg is priced at IDR 40,000 per kg, medium size or weighing 1 kg is priced at IDR 45,000, and large size weighing 1 kg 5 ounces is priced at IDR 50,000 per kg.
“How much do you want for a chicken? Some are IDR 40,000 (small), IDR 45,000 (medium), IDR 50,000 (large),” said another chicken trader, Fajar.
“The big one has more than a kilo, around 1 kg 5 ounces, this is the carcass. If the medium one has a kilo, the small one is just under a kilo,” he added.
Fajar said that this price was a stable price, because the price of chicken meat had not increased or decreased for months.
“This price is just stable, it’s been like this for a long time, there’s been no rise, no fall. Since the end of Eid al-Adha (Eid al-Adha) it seems like the price has been this much,” he said.
