Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Oppo officially launched the global version of its ColorOS 14 interface software based on Android 14. This operating system brings the latest ‘Aquamorphic’ design concept, improvements to power efficient artificial intelligence (AI) technology, smoother performance, as well as more powerful security and privacy protection tools .
On its official website, quoted on Friday (17/11/2023), Oppo claims that ColorOS monthly active users (MAU) have now reached 600 million worldwide, since its debut in 2013.
In ColorOS 14, Oppo also collaborated with audio experts to provide more diverse sound effects with an ‘Aquamorphic’ theme, according to the interface design concept.
Some of the AI features embedded in ColorOS 14 include Samrt Touch, namely the ability to select various content formats (text, images, videos) from the system and third-party applications, to be combined in one Dock File. Users can also combine them into one note with the select-and-drag gesture.
Sharing content from one application to another is also made easy with the split-screen and floating windows features. Content automatically saved in File Dock can be synchronized to various other devices to support productivity.
There is also a Smart Image Matting feature for cropping several subjects at once in a photo. For example, to crop certain animals or people in an image.

On the performance side, Oppo has improved the Trinity Engine feature which relies on three aspects to keep performance fast but efficient. Each of them is ROM Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, and CPU Vitalization.
There is also a Smart Charging system that uses AI to determine the battery charging current according to the user’s activities and habits.
In supporting the ‘go green’ movement, Oppo has also added the latest always-on-display theme. Users can see various information, for example carbon footprints based on steps, real time CO2 data, etc.

The global beta version of ColorOS 14 will be available on the market since October 2023. The official global version will first be available for the Oppo Find N2 Flip in several countries.
