Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – There are already 23 out of 38 provinces in Indonesia that have set the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP). The deadline for determining the 2024 UMP is today, Tuesday (21/11/2023) until 23.59 WIB.
For now, North Maluku is still the province with the highest percentage increase in the UMP in 2024. North Maluku’s 2024 UMP will increase by 7.5%. Meanwhile, in second and third place were DI Yogyakarta and East Java with percentage increases of 7.27% and 6.13% respectively.
The following is a list of provinces that have set the 2024 UMP.
1. North Sumatra
The increase in North Sumatra’s UMP in 2024 will only be 3.67% or IDR 99,822 to IDR 2,809,915. Meanwhile, the North Sumatra UMP for 2023 was IDR 2,710,493. The decision was taken after considering the recommendations and suggestions of the North Sumatra Wage Council. Apart from that, other indicators related to the economy fluctuate due to global geopolitics, inflation and worker welfare in North Sumatra. The UMP determination uses the PP Number 51 of 2023 formula.
2. Aceh
Then second is Aceh. Aceh’s 2024 UMP increased by 1.38% to IDR 3,460,672 from the previous IDR 3,413,666. This decision is contained in the Decree of the Governor of Aceh Number 560/1666/2023.
3. Jambi
Third is Jambi. The 2024 Jambi UMP is certain to experience an increase of only 3.2% or IDR 94,000 from IDR 2,943,121 to IDR 3,037,121. The increase in the UMP is based on the results of a meeting between the Jambi Provincial Government, the Wages Council, employers’, laborers’ and academics’ associations with the PP Number 51 of 2023 formula.
4. Bangka Belitung
Fourth is Bangka Belitung. Babel’s UMP increased by 4.04% or IDR 141,521 from IDR 3,498,479 to IDR 3,640,000.
5. East Java
Fifth is East Java. Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa set the 2024 East Java UMP to increase by IDR 125,000 or 6.13% to IDR 2,165,244.30. This was determined by Governor Khofifah through the Decree of the Governor of East Java Number 188/606/KPTS/013/2023 concerning the 2024 East Java Province Minimum Wage which was determined today, Monday (20/11/2023). The 2023 East Java UMP is IDR 2,040,244.30.

6. West Nusa Tenggara (NTB)
Sixth is West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The 2024 NTB UMP increased by 3.06% or IDR 72,660 to IDR 2,444,067 where for 2023 the NTB UMP was set at IDR 2,371,407.
7. North Maluku
North Maluku UMP in 2024 will increase to IDR 3,200,000 or IDR 221,646.57 with a percentage increase of 7.50%. This increase was agreed upon at a wage council meeting and decided in North Maluku Gubernatorial Decree Number 489/KPTS/MU/2023. Meanwhile, in 2023, the UMP value for North Maluku will be IDR 2,976,720.
8. Bali
The Bali Provincial Government (Pemprov) has set the nominal UMP for 2024 to increase by IDR 100,000 to IDR 2,813,672 or an increase of 3.68%. This is in accordance with Gubernatorial Decree Number 979/03-M/HK/2023 concerning Bali UMP 2024.
9. West Sumatra
Apart from North Maluku and Bali, there is West Sumatra. The West Sumatra (Sumbar) Provincial Government has set the 2024 provincial minimum wage (UMP) at IDR 2,811,449.27. This amount increased by 2.52% or IDR 68,973 compared to the 2023 West Sumatra UMP of IDR 2,742,476.
10. West Sulawesi
West Sulawesi is the 10th province that has set the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage. The 2024 West Sulawesi UMP increased by 1.5% or IDR 43,163.00 to IDR 2,914,958.00 from the previous IDR 2,871,795.00. This is stated in this Decree based on the Decree of the Governor of West Sulawesi Number 688 of 2023 concerning Determination of the Minimum Wage for West Sulawesi Province for 2024, stipulated on 20 November 2023.
11. South Kalimantan
Meanwhile, the South Kalimantan Provincial Government (Pemprov Kalsel) has set the 2024 UMP at IDR 3,282,812. The 2024 UMP experienced an increase of 4.22% or IDR 132,834 compared to 2023 which was IDR 3,149,977. The increase in the South Kalimantan UMP for 2024 is in accordance with the Decree of the Governor of South Kalimantan number 100.3.3.1/0972/KUM/2023 dated 20 November 2023. This governor’s decision refers to Government Regulation Number 51 of 2023 concerning Wages.
12. North Sulawesi
North Sulawesi Province finally set the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) today, Tuesday (21/11/2023). North Sulawesi’s 2024 UMP only increased by 1.67% or Rp. 57,920, which was finally adjusted to Rp. 60,000. North Sulawesi’s 2024 UMP will be IDR 3,545,000, an increase from the 2023 UMP of IDR 3,485,000.
13. West Java
The West Java provincial government has set an increase in the provincial minimum wage (UMP) in 2024 to increase by 3.57% or IDR 70,824 to IDR 2,057,495. For 2023, the West Java provincial government previously set the UMP at IDR 1,986,670. The increase in the UMP was stipulated in the Decree of the Governor of West Java No. 561/Kep.768-Kesra/2023 concerning the Minimum Wage for West Java Province for 2024 which was determined by the Acting Governor of West Java Bey Triadi Machmudin on November 20 2024.
14. South Sulawesi
The South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Provincial Government has set the provincial minimum wage (UMP) in 2024 to increase by 1.45% to IDR 3.4 million. Meanwhile, the UMP for South Sulawesi in 2023 is IDR 3,385,145. The increase in the South Sulawesi UMP was determined by the Decree of the Governor of South Sulawesi No. 1671/12/2023/21.11.2023 concerning Determination of the Minimum Wage for South Sulawesi Province for 2024 which was determined on November 21 2023.
15. Lampung
The Lampung Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) in 2024 has been set to increase by 3.16% from 2023. With the 3.16% increase, the Lampung UMP in 2024 will increase by around IDR 83,212. In this way, the UMP that will be implemented starting January 1 2024 is IDR 2,716,496.33. Previously, Lampung’s UMP for 2023 was IDR 2,633,284.59.
16. Riau
The Riau Provincial Government (Pemprov), through the Manpower and Transmigration Service (Disnakertrans), announced that the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) will increase to IDR 3,294,625. This figure has increased by 3.2% or IDR 102,963 compared to the 2023 Riau UMP which is IDR 3,191,662. Determination of the UMP amount refers to the formulation that has been determined by the central government, namely PP Number 51 of 2023.
17. Riau Islands
Riau Islands Province (Kepri) finally announced the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP). The 2024 Riau Islands UMP rose 3.76% to IDR 3,402,492. The 2024 Kepri UMP provisions are based on the Decree (SK) of the Governor of the Riau Islands Number 1282 of 2023 concerning the 2024 Riau Islands UMP. With this decree, the 2024 Riau Islands UMP increased by 3.76% or IDR 123,298 to IDR 3,402,492. The 2023 Riau Islands UMP is IDR 3,279,194.
18. East Kalimantan
East Kalimantan Province finally announced the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP). The 2024 East Kalimantan UMP rose 4.98% to IDR 3,360,858. The 2023 East Kalimantan UMP is IDR 3,201,396. In this way, the increase is IDR 159,459.
19. West Kalimantan
West Kalimantan Province finally announced the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP). The 2024 West Kalimantan UMP rose 3.6% to IDR 2,702,616. The 2023 West Kalimantan UMP is IDR 2,608,601.75. In this way, the increase is IDR 94,000.
20. DKI Jakarta
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has finally announced the 2024 DKI Jakarta Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP). The 2024 DKI Jakarta UMP will be IDR 5,067,381 or only an increase of 3.6% or IDR 165,583.
21. IN Yogyakarta
The Yogyakarta Special Region Government (DIY) announced that the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) in their area increased by 7.27% or IDR 144,115.22 to IDR 2,125,897.61. The DIY UMP calculation for 2024 is based on Government Regulation (PP) Number 51 of 2023 concerning Amendments to Government Regulation Number 36 of 2021 concerning Wages.
22. Southeast Sulawesi
The minimum wage for workers (UMP) for Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra) 2024 has officially increased by 4.6% to IDR 2,885,964. The amount increased by IDR 126,980 compared to last year’s UMP, namely IDR 2,758,984.
23. Central Sulawesi
The Central Sulawesi Province Manpower and Transmigration Service (Nakertrans) increased the 2024 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) by 5.28% or IDR 137,152 from IDR 2,599,546 to IDR 2,736,698.
