Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Commission IV DPR RI agreed with the proposed additional budget (ABT) for the Ministry of Agriculture for 2023 amounting to IDR 5.82 trillion (IDR 5,827,860,770,000) today, Monday (13/11/2023). The budget is intended to boost rice and corn production.
“Commission IV DPR RI approved the proposed additional budget for the Ministry of Agriculture which will be used to accelerate planting in order to increase rice and corn production, including through the provision of seeds, machinery, agricultural infrastructure and facilities and technical guidance amounting to IDR 5,827,860,770,000 for the 2023 budget year. Furthermore “Commission IV DPR RI asked the Ministry of Agriculture to consult with the Ministry of Finance,” said Deputy Chairperson of Commission IV DPR Anggia Erma Rini at the DPR Commission IV Building.
Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman expressed his thanks to Commission IV DPR RI. After this, his party immediately met with the Director General of Budget at the Ministry of Finance to disburse the 2023 ABT and immediately held an auction to purchase machinery and seeds.

On this occasion, Commission IV DPR RI also agreed to reallocate the Ministry of Agriculture’s budget for FY 2023 amounting to IDR 1 trillion. Here are the details:

5. Directorate General of Plantations from IDR 1,090,331,186,000 to IDR 1,030,872,050,000
6. Directorate General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health from IDR 2,486,144,467,000 to IDR 2,255,963,919,000
