Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – WhatsApp has a default setting that makes sent photos and videos automatically saved on your cellphone.
This will obviously make the storage on your cellphone fill up quickly, especially if you are part of many large, active groups that often send photos and videos.
Don’t worry, because you can change this setting so that WA photos are not saved in the gallery.
How to prevent WhatsApp photos from being saved in the gallery can be done easily through the settings in the WhatsApp application. Here are the details.
- Open the WhatsApp application on your cellphone.
- Click the three dots icon in the top right corner of the WhatsApp screen
- Then select Settings or Settings.
- On the Settings page, select Storage and Data or Data and Storage.
- After that, in the Media Auto-Download description, select the When Using Mobile Data menu. There are four types of files such as photos, audio, videos, and documents.
- To avoid saving automatically in your cellphone gallery, uncheck or uncheck all photos, audio, videos and documents then tap OK.
- Next, do the same thing in the When Connected on Wi-Fi and When Roaming menus. Remove the check mark so that media is not downloaded automatically.
If you want to save photos or videos on WhatsApp, select which photos or videos are important to download. This method will save cellphone memory.
Good luck!
