Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that inflation in October 2023 reached 0.17% month to month (mtm) and 2.56% year on year (yoy). Core inflation was reported at 1.91%.
“This core component has annual inflation of 1.91%, where this component makes the largest contribution to annual inflation of 1.23%,” said BPS Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics, Pudji Ismartini in a press conference, Thursday (1/11/2023)
Commodities with the largest contribution are house contract costs, gold jewelry and house rent as well as wages for household assistants (ART).

In the price component regulated by the government, annual inflation reached 2.12% and a share of 0.40%.
“The dominant commodities that contributed to inflation during the year were white filter clove cigarettes, PAM water and clove cigarettes,” he said.
BPS also noted that in the volatile price component, there was inflation of 5.54% with a share of 0.93%. “The dominant commodities during the year were rice, purebred chicken, garlic and potatoes,” explained Pudji
