Diogo Jota, 1996-2025

It was confirmed this morning that Liverpool striker Diogo Jota had died at the age of 28 years.

The Portuguese international died with his brother, a professional soccer player Andre Silva, in a car accident on Thursday morning in Spain.

Jota’s death came less than two weeks after he married his long -term partner, with whom he shared three small children.

The Portuguese and Liverpool soccer federation is among those who have confirmed the news, following the media report that extends the previous day.
