The North Holyport District League Premier Division has confirmed the departure of Adam Hopkins manager in a statement released on social media.
Port almost missed the play-off at the end of the season after displaying the previous season.
The statement about the departure of Hopkins said: “The club can confirm that Adam Hopkins manager tonight resigned from his position of the main team manager. We would like to thank Adam and Jamie for their commitment since joining last season and say good luck with their next position.”
Hopkins is a former manager at Sandhurst Town and joined the port last summer.
In his own statement, Hopkins said: “Today, I have made a difficult decision to resign from my position as the first team manager at Holyport FC, immediately effective. I want to thank the deepest gratitude to everyone at the club and expand my sincere desires to all staff and member players.”
Port left in the play-off place with only three points.
