BLACKPINK Becomes Guests of Honor at Buckingham Palace England Lifestyle – 2 hours ago


Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – All BLACKPINK members attended the welcoming banquet for the state visit of the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol, to the United Kingdom (England) at Buckingham Palace, London, on Tuesday (21/11/2023) local time.

Launching from The Korea Herald, BLACKPINK was invited to the banquet as special guests. In fact, King Charles III mentioned the names Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa in praising their efforts in promoting awareness of global environmental issues.

“I applaud Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose or known as BLACKPINK for their role in conveying the message of environmental sustainability to a global audience,” said King Charles III, quoted Wednesday (22/11/2023).


“I admire how they can prioritize these important issues apart from being world superstars,” he added.

Launching from SkyNewsKing Charles III appreciated BLACKPINK for their role as Global Ambassadors for the 2021 United Nations (UN) Climate Change Conference or COP26 as well as advocates for the UN’s sustainable development goals.

Apart from praising BLACKPINK’s role in global environmental issues, King Charles III also praised South Korean creativity and culture, such as Gangnam Style by PSY and the popular Netflix series, Squid Game.

In his speech, King Charles III also said that “the Korean people have created a miracle” in their journey from “wartime ruin” to a thriving nation, where “industrial efficiency has grown to become the epitome of technological innovation.”

“Through their own sweat, their own toil, under the shadow of tyranny and the threat of aggression, for more than seven decades the Korean people have built a stronghold of democracy, human rights and freedom,” said King Charles III.

Responding to King Charles III’s speech, President Yoon Suk Yeol also praised England as well as the close relationship between England and the Ginseng Country.

“When I was young, my friends and I were fans of The Beatles, Queen and Elton John. Apart from that, the Harry Potter books were also very popular with many Koreans,” said Yoon Suk Yeol.

“Most importantly, Britain is the architect of modern liberal democracy. Most democracies are strongly influenced by British parliamentary democracy, and Korea is no exception,” he added.

At the banquet, Britain and South Korea discussed new trade deals and signed diplomatic agreements as part of Yoon Suk Yeol’s state visit.
