Beware, Pinjol can make you fail to get a job until your mortgage is rejected. Tech – 15 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The history of online loans (pinjol) can have long tails. Starting from being unable to get a job to being rejected for a mortgage application.

One of the viral stories about the impact of pinjol circulated on X some time ago. It was said that five new graduates rejected their job applications because their collectibility status showed they were stuck.

Regarding this story, OJK Chief Executive for Supervising the Behavior of Financial Services Business Actors, Education and Consumer Protection, Friderica Widyasari Dewi, asked young people to understand more about lending. Young people are asked not to mess around with online debt applications.

He revealed that a person’s credit history can be seen easily using just their NIK KTP information. Namely through the OJK’s Financial Information Services System (SLIK).

“So young people are aware, oh yes, don’t play around with online debt, ‘after that I changed my number, I can’t collect it anymore’. That’s not the case. Because if you use your KTP, everything will go into SLIK, OK?” said the woman. who is familiarly called Kiki last August.

Many young people are trapped in debt online. Starting from consumptive school children to fresh graduates who buy things while waiting for graduation.

For this reason, he suggested that young people need to be responsible with their performance and financial records. Kiki explained that these two things are very important for the future.

Not only did he not get a job, Kiki also said that there were Home Ownership Credit (KPR) parties who rejected young people because of their status in SLIK. This happened only because they owed pay later which amounted to hundreds of thousands.

“Even though they only owe a pay later amount of hundreds of thousands, but there are traffic jams and so on. So that’s a shame, isn’t it, it’s more important to be at home than to go shopping for nothing,” he said.

At that time, Kiki explained that the SLIK system was being developed more widely. OJK is currently working on establishing a Fintech Lending data center (Pusdafil), next the loan application will be integrated with OJK’s SLIK.

The Indonesian Joint Funding Fintech Association (AFPI) has asked the authorities to enter loan data in SLIK. Because it turns out that many people apply for loans via Pinjol because it is not yet integrated with the system.

“So it’s a plus or minus [SLIK terintegrasi Pusdafil], so the good thing is that all the data is all coordinated. “But that’s not good, definitely more people will get that note,” said Kiki.
