A bit of Berkshire lore at Fleet Town as McClurg builds to the Combined Nations League – Football season in Berkshire

In North Hampshire, there was a hint of Berkshire nostalgia as new Fleet Town boss Jamie McClurg set to work to get the club back to Step 4.

McClurg has appointed a backroom staff made up of people he has played with and over the years in the game spanning spells with Bracknell Town, promotions with Slough Town, Godalming Town and of course the FA Vase Final with Binfield.

Fleet’s new boss said: “I’m very pleased to have a strong team of good people around me. Between them, they bring a wealth of experience, football knowledge and success at various levels of the game. Just as importantly, they are people I trust and enjoy working with. They all share the same ambition to develop players, raise standards and help take Fleet Town FC forward, and I can’t wait for us to get started together.”

Alongside Director of Football Jon Underwood (another Bracknell Town connection), McClurg has appointed former Windsor & Eton favorite Ryan Parson as assistant manager alongside former Slough and Bracknell teammate George Short who is player/assistant manager.

Lee Simpson steps in as Head Coach after successfully managing Bracknell Town’s Under-18 side as well as Berks County – which he led to promotion from Combined Nations League Division One two years ago.

The biggest names on the list? It could be said that it was former Staines Town ‘hit man’ Neil Selby who became Development Coach and popular former Wokingham & Emmbrook and Binfield boss Roger Herridge who “brought a wealth of local football knowledge and experience to the management group.”

Speaking via the Fleet Town website, Jon Underwood said of the new group: “We have an excellent mix of knowledge and experience and people who have enjoyed success in the game, along with energy and fresh new ideas. This is a team that will help Clurgy to raise standards on the training ground and on matchdays and after speaking to them all, I know they can’t wait to start working with the players!”

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
