Coldplay Gives Special Ship ‘Souvenirs’ for Indonesia Lifestyle – 2 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Coldplay succeeded in providing new memorable memories for the audience of the “Coldplay ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ Jakarta” concert at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium, last Wednesday (15/11/2023).

Not only for the audience, Coldplay also provided new memorable memories for the Indonesian people and environment by providing a trash cleaning ship or interceptor, Neon Moon II.

Before giving this ‘gift’ to Indonesia, Coldplay, who collaborated with the environmental non-profit organization, The Ocean Cleanup, had also given a similar interceptor to Malaysia with the name Neon Moon I.

“Coldplay collaborated with The Ocean Cleanup in 2018 and helped with the first steps in our campaign to tackle the world’s most polluted rivers,” wrote The Ocean Cleanup in an official statement, quoted Friday (17/11/2023).

“After the success of Interceptor 005 in Malaysia, called Neon Moon I, we will now deploy a second interceptor. Currently, Interceptor 020 or Neon Moon II is being assembled and is intended for the Cisadane River in Jakarta, Indonesia,” continued the same statement.

According to The Ocean Cleanup, Interceptor 005 and Interceptor 002 in the Klang River, Malaysia were successful in preventing the flow of 1 million kilograms of waste into the sea and successfully contributed to a clean environment for the local community.

Therefore, The Ocean Cleanup and Coldplay have the ambition to achieve similar achievements in Indonesia through Neon Moon II.

The Cisadane River was chosen as the anchorage and operation place for Neon Moon II because it is known as a waste disposal site. Meanwhile, this 126 km long river crosses Bogor Regency, Bogor City, Tangerang Regency, Tangerang City and South Tangerang.

This good news for the Indonesian environment was announced by Coldplay during the ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ concert in Jakarta.

For your information, Coldplay is a group of musicians who actively voice environmental issues. In fact, the ongoing Music of the Spheres World Tour promotes sustainable and environmentally friendly energy.
