4 Gibran Vice President Prabowo’s Businesses That Collapsed Lifestyle – 6 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – One of the parties supporting Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate or presidential candidate in 2024, the Golkar Party, has officially nominated Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a candidate for vice president or vice presidential candidate for Prabowo.

Before entering the world of politics through the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), the Mayor of Surakarta or Solo, who is also the son of President Joko Widodo, was an entrepreneur who worked in various fields.

If we trace it, Gibran’s business is mostly in the food and beverage (FnB) sector in collaboration with his younger brother and General Chair of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Kaesang Pangarep.

However, not all businesses run by Gibran last long. In fact, some of the businesses closed within a few years after being launched.

The following is a list of Gibran’s businesses that went bankrupt based on CNBC Indonesia’s summary:

1. Goola

Goola is Gibran’s business which sells traditional Indonesian drink products, such as Es Doger with modern packaging. However, this business was handed over to Kaesang shortly before taking office as Mayor of Solo.

However, based on CNBC Indonesia’s monitoring, this business appears to be no longer running. Because, Goola’s last upload on Instagram (@goola_id) was November 7 2020. In fact, quite a few netizens are questioning the existence of this business.

2. Ready mas

Still in the culinary field, Gibran, who collaborated with Kaesang, also formed the Siapmas brand. This business presents beverage and snack products, such as chips under the names Ngedrink and Kemripik in various minimarkets.

However, this business appears to be no longer active. Apart from the last upload on social media on October 3 2020, a number of products from Siapmas are also no longer visible in the nearest minimarket.

3. Ternacopy

Ternakopi is Gibran’s business which was developed with Kaesang in May 2019.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, Ternakopi had around 40 stores spread across several regions in Indonesia. However, Kaesang admitted that this business had closed due to not selling well in the market.

“Yesterday, before the pandemic, we actually had almost 40 outlets, but after the pandemic, they all disappeared. How come? They didn’t sell,” said Kaesang, quoted from CNN IndonesiaWednesday (18/10/2023).

4. Madhang

On December 11 2017, Gibran and Kaesang launched the Madhang application to bridge mothers who are good cooks with buyers. This application is also claimed to have succeeded in helping many housewives to become financially independent.

In this business, Gibran plays the role of Madhang Advisor. However, this business which collaborated with Dian Nuswantoro University Semarang is no longer operating. In the last upload on February 22 2022, many users were seen questioning the existence of the application.

“Please don’t get the funds in my application back. The application can’t be opened, the DM on IG is never answered, the CS contact on WA is also inactive, the website doesn’t exist. What’s wrong with my money in the application and it’s not coming back. Please, @madhang. id,” wrote one Instagram user, @ttresure_tangsel.
