Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – China’s big ambitions through the Belt and Road Initiative continue to be in the world’s spotlight. Indonesia is one of the recipients of large Chinese investment of around US$5.6 billion.
The high flow of investment funds from China to Indonesia is certainly a challenge in itself, such as the need for technology transfer. According to Piter Abdullah Executive Director of the Segara Research Institute, as the host country, Indonesia has the right to request technology transfer. However, unfortunately until now, technology transfer has not been maximized by Indonesia because its human resources are not yet ready.
