Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) is targeting the distribution of 500 thousand units of electricity-based cooking equipment (AML) or rice cooker free to the public can be completed this year.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Dadan Kusdiana revealed that plans to distribute free rice cookers to the public are currently still in the process of data verification and validation. This stage is quite important to ensure the suitability of the target recipients of aid.
“Before the distribution, who are the recipients, we will also verify who the recipients are, lest I get on the list later on for diversification, that’s not feasible. What is proposed is that there is no PLN network yet. What’s the point? We will verify, now the verification stage is underway, ” said Dadan at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Building, Monday (23/10/2023).
Furthermore, Dadan hopes that this verification process can be completed by the end of this month. Bearing in mind that the procurement to distribution process takes quite a long time. “The hope is that the entire verification process will be completed. Procurement has begun to be completed. Procurement is not one package and this procurement includes delivery,” he said.
Previously, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif emphasized that he would maximize the Domestic Component Level (TKDN) in this free procurement. For example like rice cooker production results from PT Maspion.
