Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) won three awards at the 2023 Indonesian Construction Awards Night. The three awards include: Implementation of the Construction Safety Management System (SMKK) for the IKN section 5A Toll Road project, Implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technology for the KAPB Phase 2 Toll Road project, and Implementation of BIM Technology for the Temef Dam Project.
“This time, Waskita won three more awards. This is the Company’s commitment to carrying out the transformation program through the digitalization process and implementing the Construction Safety Management System. Hopefully what Waskita currently has can continue to be improved and always innovate in digital transformation to create green infrastructure and sustainable,” said Waskita Karya I & QSHE Operations Director I Ketut Pasek Senjaya Putra in a written statement, Tuesday (7/11/2023).
It is known that this award was held as a form of appreciation to construction service providers for their contribution to providing national construction services.
Carrying the theme of Accelerating Digital Transformation of the Construction Sector to Realize Sustainable Infrastructure Development, this award consists of 5 categories, namely SMKK Implementation Category, BIM Implementation Category, Development of Construction Services Delivery, Implementation of Increased Use of Domestic Products (P3DN), and Orderly Registration of Construction Workers Foreign.
Pasek added that innovation and construction transformation are important so that we can continue to follow more modern and digital-based processes. So it can speed up development progress.
“It is hoped that this event can produce more effective and innovative ideas and construction,” he said.
The series of Indonesian Construction 2023 activities will take place from May 2023 until the peak of the event on 1-3 November 2023. These activities involve various agendas, including conferences, exhibitions, competitions, the ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineers (ACPE) forum, as well as the 2023 Indonesian Construction Awards Night.
“Digital transformation is one of the pillars of transformation that is being carried out by Waskita. Therefore, BIM is not just a theory for Waskita, but we have implemented it in up to 7 dimensions (7D) in every project carried out. Apart from that, the digitalization process “Not only implementing BIM, but Waskita also develops and integrates applications to support effectiveness and efficiency in work so as to create lean construction,” concluded Pasek.
