“In addition to setting the UMP, the DKI Provincial Government has something called the Jakarta Worker Card. With this Jakarta Worker Card, they get free transportation subsidy assistance, then automatically get food subsidies,” said Heru Budi in a Press Conference at the DKI Jakarta City Hall Building, Tuesday (21/11/ 2023).
“And if you get a Jakarta Smart Card, the derivative is getting food subsidies,” he continued.
So, he added, the people of DKI Jakarta don’t need to worry. Because apart from getting the UMP, the people of DKI Jakarta also get KPJ and KJP subsidies, as well as food subsidies.
“So the DKI UMP plus the DKI Jakarta provincial government provides KJP subsidies, food subsidies. So it’s double,” he said.
This policy is given to workers/laborers who hold Jakarta Worker Cards who meet certain criteria, namely having a Resident Identity Card (KTP) for the Special Capital Region of Jakarta Province with a maximum salary of IDR 1.15 million, without being limited by length of service or other criteria in accordance with regulations. legislation.
These policies include assistance with transportation services, providing food at low prices, JakGrosir membership and personal education costs.

“The DKI government has set the highest alpha, namely alpha 0.3, according to the PP (PP 51 of 2023). The DKI Regional Government cannot exceed the specified PP. So the rupiah has gone from IDR 4.9 million to IDR 5,067,381,” said the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi.
It was explained that the 2024 DKI Jakarta UMP figure announced by Heru was a figure calculated by members of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Wage Council, elements of the Government, who proposed the 2024 DKI Jakarta UMP value based on the formula regulated in PP No. 51/2023 concerning Amendments to PP No. 36/2021 concerning Wages using an alpha of 0.30 from DKI Jakarta’s Economic Growth, so that the UMP for DKI Jakarta in 2024 will be IDR 5,067,381 or only an increase of IDR 165,583.
“So entrepreneurs ask for 0.2 alpha. The Wage Council representing entrepreneurs proposes an alpha of 0.2, so the government sets the highest alpha, namely 0.3, in accordance with PP 51/2023. The DKI government cannot go beyond the PP that has been determined, namely a maximum alpha of 0 3. Up 3.6%,” concluded Heru.
