This Man Auctions Coldplay Tickets to Donate to Palestine Lifestyle – 5 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The entrance to the Coldplay ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ Jakarta concert at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium has officially opened, Wednesday (15/11/2023).

In contrast to other Coldplay fans who were present at GBK to queue to enter, take photos, wait for concert friends, look for concert tickets from brokers, and buy power of attorney templates from sellers, Syahrial Fathur from Surabaya, East Java actually auctioned off his personal tickets to donate to the fans. victims of genocide in Gaza, Palestine.

Syahrial admitted that his initial plan for coming to Jakarta was to watch Coldplay’s first performance in Indonesia. However, the attacks carried out by Israel in Gaza since early October moved him to auction off his personal category 2B concert tickets to make a donation.

“I wanted to watch it, but seeing the condition of our brothers in Palestine moved my heart. Instead of watching Coldplay, it would be better to have my tickets auctioned off,” said Syahrial to CNBC Indonesia while holding up the paper announcing the ticket auction to attract the attention of potential viewers.

Syahrial admitted that the category 2B ticket which ended up being auctioned was obtained from a ticket war with his friend in May 2023. When he got tickets, he admitted that he was very enthusiastic to watch the performance of Chris Martin et al.

However, the war that occurred between Israel and Hamas since October 7 2023 made Syahrial change his mind. Seeing that the victims in Palestine who he considered to be his brothers were suffering, he was determined to auction off his tickets in order to make the highest nominal donation.

“I don’t regret auctioning off private tickets because seeing the incident, it seemed like I couldn’t just keep quiet,” said Syahrial.

Syahrial admitted that he had started the auction at 13.00 WIB with an opening price of IDR 5 million. As of 17.15, the price offered had reached IDR 6.5 million. 100 percent of sales proceeds are directly donated to the Palestinian people.

“The auction closes when the gate opens, at 17.30 WIB. Whatever it is, it will be donated directly via kitabisa.com,” explained Syahrial.

Meanwhile, the reason Syahrial chose kitabisa.com as a donation platform was to increase the trust of auction participants. Later, the money spent to buy Syahrial tickets will be sent directly to the kitabisa.com account number.

“The money for the person who gets this ticket is not directly transferred to me, but directly donated (sent directly) via kitabisa.com. That’s the way to be transparent,” explained Syahrial.

Apart from category 2B concert tickets, the auction winner will also receive vintage edition Compass shoes which were released around 2019 in green. Meanwhile, green was chosen because it is one of the colors of the Palestinian flag.

“Hopefully many young people in Indonesia can remember the history that Indonesia was helped by Palestine. I hope that through this small step I can inspire other young people to help our brothers and sisters in Palestine,” concluded Syahrial.
