Djokovic has won three French Open titles – the most recent in 2023 – but the game is always more suitable for hard fields and grass.

Zverev, however, is still alert to Djokovic and tells the press conference: ‘I mean, that man [has] won 24 grand slams. He will never be a dark horse.

“He must know what it means to be on a big stage and play a big match. There is no doubt about it.

‘For me, Carlos [Alcaraz] is a favorite. I said that before. Then I will say the next three lines are Jannik [Sinner]me and novak, right?

‘I still believe that. Novak was there with us, there were no questions about it at all. ‘

Towards France Open this year, Djokovic insisted that he was not a ‘main favorite’ to land the trophy this year.
