Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Lionel Messi was officially crowned as the winner of the 2023 Ballon d’Or at the Theater du Chatelet, Paris, France, Tuesday (31/10/2023) early morning WIB. On the night of the 2023 Ballon d’Or award which was hosted by former Chelsea FC striker, Didier Drogba, Messi officially won the eighth Ballon d’Or award in his football career.
Thus, La Pulga still confirms himself as the football player with the most Ballon d’Or awards of all time.
Inter Miami CF’s newest player is in first place out of a total of 30 other nominations and beats Manchester City’s Erling Haaland in second and Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe in third.

Despite not winning the Ballon d’Or, Haaland was officially confirmed as striker best in the world by winning the 2023 Gerd Muller Trophy award. Throughout the 2022/2023 season, this 23 year old player has indeed performed prolifically by producing 56 goals and 10 assists.
Meanwhile, the club that Haaland plays for, Manchester City, was also confirmed as the best club in the world in 2023. This was supported after The Citizens achieved a series of achievements throughout the 2022/2023 season, namely the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.
Apart from that, Messi’s colleague in the National Team (Argentine National Team), Emiliano Martinez, officially won the world’s best goalkeeper award, the Yachine Trophy. One of the achievements that brought the Aston Villa goalkeeper to win the Yachine Trophy was his performance throughout the 2022 World Cup.
Then, Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham officially won the Kopa Trophy, aka the best youth player in the world. Not only that, Real Madrid star, Vinicius Junior, also won a special award for his role outside the green field of football.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Ballon d’Or Feminin award was won by FC Barcelona Femeni midfielder, Aitana Bonmati after successfully leading Barcelona Femeni to win the 2022/2023 Women’s Champions League and the 2023 Women’s World Cup for Spain.
