Luhut’s Ministry of Civil Servant Tukin Increases, What’s the Highest Position? News – 2 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – President Joko Widodo officially increased the performance allowances for employees of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves) this year. The tukin amount for employees of Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Luhut Binsar Panjaitan has been updated from what was set in 2020.

Jokowi’s decision was implemented through the issuance of Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 74 of 2023 concerning Employee Performance Allowances within the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment. Jokowi signed this regulation on November 8 2023 and replaces Presidential Decree no. 7/2020.

“That in accordance with the achievements of the implementation of bureaucratic reform, the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment has met the criteria to be given adjustments to performance allowances,” read Jokowi’s considerations in Presidential Decree No. 74/2023, as quoted on Tuesday (14/11/2023).

Quoted from Article 2 of Presidential Decree 74/2023, this performance allowance is given every month like the basic salary or other attached income. These performance allowances are also subject to income tax or PPh in accordance with statutory provisions.

Article 5 of this Presidential Decree also stipulates that the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment who heads and leads the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment is given a performance allowance of 150% of the highest performance allowance within the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment.

“Performance allowances for the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment as referred to in paragraph (1) are given from the time this Presidential Regulation comes into force,” quoted from paragraph 2 of Article 5 of Presidential Decree 74/2023.

This performance allowance is not given to employees within the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment who do not have a specific position, employees who have been temporarily laid off or disabled, employees who have been dismissed from their organic position by being given waiting money and have not been dismissed as employees, and employees who are on leave outside the responsibility of the state or on duty free in preparation for retirement.

In the event that an employee within the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries is appointed as a functional official and receives a professional allowance, the performance allowance is paid in the amount of the difference between the performance allowance for his class of position and the professional allowance for his level.

If the professional allowance received is greater than the performance allowance for the class of position then what is paid is the professional allowance at that level.
