SIEM Product Manager Multipolar Technology Ignasius Oky explained that the threat of cyber attacks is becoming more real for corporations along with the shift in consumer and employee activities to digital.
“First, we see a change in the behavior of employees who used to be in the office, all the data in the office is now taken home,” he said at the Cyber Security Forum, Thursday (2/11/2023).
Therefore, companies now need devices that help those responsible for information technology security monitor devices outside the office and on holidays.
The next challenge is the increasingly complex user interface, including artificial intelligence. In fact, it is now increasingly difficult to differentiate between systems and humans.
Lastly, is human resource capability. Technology that continues to develop requires that cybersecurity teams must continue to be trained.
To face these challenges, several IT products can be used. One of these products is a platform that works like CCTV to monitor cyber activity on a company’s network.
Working as an eye or seeing what is happening in our environment and then analyzing whether it is something negative or positive that triggers a security incident.
“Data collected continuously by IBM will be analyzed to show any potential risks from cyber threats,” he said.
Another solution is protection against devices that have been compromised by malware before connecting to the company’s system.
“We didn’t know that the device had been infected with malware and ransomware. We ourselves could be one of the main doors for hackers,” he said.
