A Boeing passenger aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing after the engine appeared on fire.

The Düsseldorf-Bound Condor Airlines flight departs from Corfu at 8.29 pm local time on Saturday.

But some of the 273 passengers on the DE 3665 aircraft noticed the fire on the aircraft engine, with a spitting fire from the right wing.

A passenger tells Bild: ‘Suddenly, the power went out for a few seconds, and we realized that we were no longer climbing.’

Others added: ‘That is a very terrible experience. I have sent a goodbye text because I thought, “It’s over now”. “

The video that was not verified that was shared at Tiktok seemed to show the wings of the aircraft and orange flickering.

The cabin crew noticed that the right turbine air flow was disturbed at an altitude of 36,000 feet, so the pilot turned off the engine.

The plane turned to Brindisi in southern Italy to make an emergency landing after being in the air for 40 minutes, according to Fleghtradar24 tracking services.

Passengers and eight crew members were placed in a hotel or spent the night at the airport terminal before the placement craft brought them to Germany the next day at 10:30 am.

Condor Airlines said that no one took the flight ‘in danger’.

The cause of orange flash, said a spokesman, is a chemical reaction that occurs in the combustion chamber.

They said: ‘DE3665 flights from Corfu (CFU) to Düsseldorf (DUS) were transferred to Brindisi (BDS) on August 16.

‘The reason is an indication of parameters outside the normal range caused by interference with the supply of air flow to the engine.

‘Because of the error message, it was decided on a heart to be diverted to Brindisi. The plane landed around 8 pm at Brindisi Airport, and all guests dropped normally.

“Another condor aircraft was sent to bring all guests to Düsseldorf on August 17.”

They added: ‘We apologize for the inconvenience caused, but the safety of our passengers and employees is always our top priority,’
