Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The controversy surrounding BLACKPINK’s Lisa after her sexy appearance at the Crazy Horse show in Paris continues to rage. This time, Lisa’s account on Weibo, Chinese social media, appears to have been deleted.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Thai singer’s verified account @lalalalisa_m could no longer be searched on Weibo, one of the most popular social media networks in China.
“The account can no longer be visited after receiving complaints of violations of laws and regulations, as well as related regulations of the Weibo Community Management Regulations,” said the replacement page, as quoted from CNN International, Friday (3/11/2023).
Lisa herself has received a wave of criticism for her decision to appear at Crazy Horse, a famous cabaret show in Paris that features topless female dancers, even though Lisa was there still wearing lingerie.
The big criticism came from fans from China. Please note, the Bamboo Curtain country has very strict censorship rules. And naked cabaret shows are definitely off-limits.
It’s not known what kind of complaints Lisa’s account on Weibo received, but the Chinese tech company routinely suspends or deletes pages that violate the country’s various censorship rules – even those that simply stir up too much controversy.
Until now there has been no official comment from Weibo or the YG Entertainment agency.
Before the missing Weibo account incident, Lisa herself doesn’t seem to care about the wave of criticism from fans. He even uploaded sexy photos on Instagram while appearing on Crazy Horse.
“What an extraordinary experience at @crazyhorseparis_official. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this show possible. Contact me whenever you need someone to perform,” wrote Lisa in the photo caption uploaded on Thursday (5/10).
