Two women who fell in the waterfall while the tube in the Oregon River had been identified and remembered as a loving adventurer.
Amanda Loyd, 40, and Lindsay Bashan, 33, were swept into the main rafting of Dillon Falls after losing the last Takeout area before the dangerous part of the Deschutes river.
The victims were named by the Deschutes Regency Sheriff Office on Tuesday, three days after they lowered the 5 -foot 5 foot waterfall.
Loyd, Bashan and the third person who remained lost had floated in the internal tube that was tied together. Investigators learned that the three victims were swept away, while three people who survived jumped from their tubes and made it to the beach.
“This has become a difficult and emotional incident,” said Sheriff County Deschutes Jason Carr, thanked the Deputy and Volunteers of the search and rescue and marine patrol unit.
“They have led the coordinated and effective mission in very challenging conditions, and their work has helped bring answers and closure to two grieving families.”
Loyd was born in Kansas but moved to Rockwall, Texas, and ‘felt his “house” was near nature’, according to the news of his death.
“Amanda is blessed with a lot of talent including written expressions, pursuit of fitness, and an unfavorable adventurous spirit, ‘he said.
‘Even though the tiny in the frame, the personality of the power plant turns on every room he enters. He brought an unfaished excitement and laughter to his friends and countless followers. ‘
He has a title in the field of journalism from the University of North Texas and recently worked as an entrepreneur broker and real estate investor. He is also a digital creator and has 2,200 followers on his Facebook page.
Bashan, from Parkland, Florida, adventured and ‘became anything’, his father Todd Bashan told South Florida Sun Sentinel.
“This holiday is an adventure that he does with his good friends,” his mother, Vivian Bashan, told the newspaper.
“They will only do all these extraordinary outdoors, hiking and go to the river. And at least they experience the first day. ‘
The mother added that her daughter ‘was just an intelligent, friendly, wise person’ and that ‘all her friends only said how they loved him and how extraordinary he was’.
Bashan graduated from Florida State University and was preparing to start a new job in New York City a week after the tragedy, his parents said.
The search effort continued on Tuesday for the last missing person, whose identity would not be released until they were found and family members were told.
Sheriff’s office is committed to using Sonar Side Scan to search under deeper water.
“We are sure they will continue to do everything possible to find the last missing individual,” said Carr.
Dillon Falls is about 10 miles from Bend.
Sheriff’s office states that the part in which the group is swept away ‘features that are long, hard, and hampered from water with stones, wooden stems, and other debris that cause serious danger even for experienced guilters.
