Heavy Rain, LRT and Fast Train Stations Leaked News – 14 hours ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The roof of the Cawang-Halim LRT Station leaked today, Sunday (5/11/2023). The management of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI said this was caused by high rainfall on November 4 2023.

KAI Vice President of Public Relations Joni Martinus said that although there were problems at several stations, operational services were not disrupted. Including at the Cawang LRT station stop which experienced a leak due to breaking during heavy rain.

“As a quick step, at the time of the incident, KAI together with the Jabodebek LRT and KCIC had coordinated directly with the relevant parties who were the contractors for the construction of the station to carry out repairs,” said Joni, quoted from a written statement, Sunday (5/11/2023).

He also revealed that the construction contractor at the Cawang LRT Station was carried out by Adhi Karya, while for the Halim LRT Station area, the Halim High Speed Train Station was carried out by Wijaya Karya. Furthermore, the relevant parties immediately carried out investigations and repaired the affected areas for passenger comfort.

This morning, thanks to the sunny weather conditions, Joni confirmed that services at the Jabodebek Cawang and Halim LRT stations were still running normally. Adhi Karya and Wijaya Karya Construction have started repairing the station water channel which was affected by yesterday’s heavy rain and it is hoped that it will be completed in the near future.

“KAI apologizes if any inconvenience occurred due to heavy rain around the Cawang and Halim Station areas,” he said.

KAI, KCIC, Jabodebek LRT together with contractors will also comb and identify other points at all Jabodebek LRT stations and high-speed train stations to anticipate similar incidents.

“KAI together with related parties have communicated and coordinated and moved quickly so that the services and facilities provided to passengers are optimal,” said Joni.
