Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia- The White Paper entitled From LPEM for Indonesia: Economy and Society Agenda 2024-202,9 reveals the potential for Indonesia to fail to become a developed country by 2045.
Dean of the UI Faculty of Business Economics, Teguh Dartanto, said that Indonesia has not met the sufficient and necessary requirements to become a high-income country. This is partly related to the low quality of human resources and Indonesia’s current economic growth.
However, there are a number of steps that the government must take to realize this ideal. These include encouraging improvements in the quality of human resources, expanding industrialization and downstreaming not only to the mining sector but also to agriculture, fisheries & maritime affairs in a fair and sustainable manner.
What improvements does Indonesia need to become a developed country in 2045? For complete details, see Andi Shalini’s dialogue with the Dean of the Faculty of Business Economics, University of Indonesia, Teguh Dartanto on Profit, CNBC Indonesia (Monday, 10/30/2023)
