Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia- Protesters gather inside Grand Central Station, New York US demanding a ceasefire amid expanding Israeli ground offensive in the Gaza Strip.
Protesters wearing black T-shirts reading “Cease Fire Now” and “Not In Our Name” shouted slogans and hung signs inside Grand Central Station in New York.
WABC-TV New York reported that the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) said on its website that the terminal was closed until further notice due to the protests and asked customers to use Penn Station as an alternative.
The Israeli military expanded its air and ground attacks on Gaza on Friday (27/10) and the Hamas militant group, which controls Gaza, said its militants were ready to face an Israeli attack with “full force.”
The Israeli ground offensive is thought to be aimed at overthrowing the Hamas militant group in response to their bloody attack on October 7.
