Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Pre-Employment Card is a flagship program of President Joko Widodo’s government. This program takes up a lot of budget to provide training that is carried out offline, online, or mixed. So will Anies Baswedan continue this program if he is elected President of the Republic of Indonesia?
“So the principle is that everything that is good, is felt to be useful, is perceived by the wider community as a helpful program will certainly be sustainable because it is the duty of the state,” said Anies after the 100 Indonesian Economists Workshop on CNBC Indonesia at the Bank Mega Tower Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (8/11/2023).
Anies said he would carry out a review of the program that is currently running. There are at least several elements that must be fulfilled.
“One, whatever needs to be improved. If it is good, we will improve it, if it is useful, we will improve it,” said Anies.
Then he said there was something that needed correction. What Anies meant was that the program was not immediately deleted or eliminated. Review it first. If it is deemed not useful it will be deleted.

“So it is not immediately eliminated, so there are things that are felt to be less useful or not useful that may have to be stopped. However, there are things that today are felt to be lacking, do not exist, then new things are created,” he added.
Anies also ensured that if the program was good and beneficial for the Indonesian people, it would be continued.
“Fourth, things that have been improved, corrected, things that have not been continued, and new things that have to be improved, so everything that is good will be continued,” stressed Anies.
For the record, the government will continue the Pre-Employment Card program this year with a normal scheme, not semi social assistance (social assistance) as regulated in Presidential Decree Number 113 of 2022 and its implementation by Coordinating Minister for the Economy Number 17 of 2022.
In the initial stage, a budget of IDR 2.67 trillion was allocated to reach the target of 595 thousand people. Meanwhile, for the remaining target of 405 thousand people, the government will propose an additional budget requirement of IDR 1.7 trillion.
A number of adjustments were made in line with the implementation of the Pre-Employment Card Program with this normal scheme. One of them is the implementation of training carried out offline, online, or mixed. Offline training will start in ten provinces, namely DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, West Kalimantan, North Sumatra, South Sulawesi, Bali, East Nusa Tenggara and Papua.
The amount of assistance that participants will receive has also been adjusted, namely IDR 4.2 million per individual, with details in the form of assistance for training costs of IDR 3.5 million, a post-training incentive of IDR 600 thousand which is given once, and a survey incentive of IDR 100 thousand for two fillings. survey. Apart from that, the government has also increased the minimum training duration to 15 hours.
