Mejeng at BRILIANPRENEUR, Cutemonster Starts to be Attracted by Entrepreneur Connoisseurs – 33 minutes ago

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Cutemonster fashion products, successfully appeared at the BRI UMKM EXPO(RT) BRILIANPRENEUR event. Fashion products created by the nation’s children also have the opportunity to be known to the public and marketed widely, even to various Asian countries

The creator behind Cutemonster, Anindhita Kirana Isa, said that Cutemonster products are unique, which can be seen from the characters they create. According to him, Cutemonster was inspired by the shape of adorable monsters because they are given bright colors.

To produce these unique works, Anindhita often gets inspiration when walking, watching or looking at pictures on social media. He has put the cute and eye-catching image of the monster into more than 20 fashion products, such as jackets, shirts, tote bags, bucket hats, agendas, scarves and others.

“Inspiration can come from anywhere, but if you have a certain talent from birth and hone it, of course that talent can create extraordinary work,” he said in his statement, quoted Thursday (10/11/2023).

He explained that his talent for drawing was visible when he was eight years old. Seeing her interest in the world of drawing, Anindhita’s parents tried to hone her talent.

Anindhita further said that behind her current success, her parents directed her to take a drawing course. From the drawing course, it can be seen that her work has unique characteristics and at the age of 15 Anindhita focused on the art of drawing.

“So I’m not the type who can paint, but rather draw. The tutor suggested I do digital art, so that my monster pictures can be made into products,” said the alumni of the Visual Communication Design department at Trilogi University.

Anindhita succeeded in creating her first work in the form of a pouch and scarf in 2016 when she was in high school.

“Entering the college years in 2018, Cutemonster’s production became bigger and targeted fashion products,” he said.

Currently Cutemonster products are marketed via digital platforms, and are even now available at Matalokal Indonesia’s artisan designer in the Melawai area, South Jakarta. Cutemonster is also available at the Precious One souvenir shop in North Meruya, Kembangan, West Jakarta which sells products for people with disabilities.

Furthermore, he hopes that through BRI UMKM EXPO(RT) BRILIANPRENEUR, people will know Cutemonster as a special art and work. Through this event, Anindhita is more confident in expanding the local market.

“Thank God, it has entered Solo. God willing, next year the plan is for Cutemonster to start trying to enter the Bali market. So that it can be enjoyed not only by Indonesians, but also by people from abroad. The product must also be accepted by Balinese customs and culture,” said Anindhita.

Apart from expanding in the local market, Anindhita also hopes that BRI UMKM EXPO(RT) BRILIANPRENEUR can help small businesses like Cutemonster to develop further in the future. Anindhita dreams of introducing Cutemonster products abroad, namely to various Asian countries.

“It could be Singapore or Malaysia, he said because it is close to Indonesia. However, he would be happier if Cutemonster could enter Japan, South Korea or China. That’s because I like animation. So if the animation is good it’s not Japan, Korea or China ,” he said.

BRI’s Director of Small and Medium Business, Amam Sukriyanto, revealed that the BRI UMKM EXPO(RT) BRILIANPRENEUR is BRI’s initiative to introduce the uniqueness of MSMEs and the competitiveness of their customer products. This program is one of BRI’s concrete steps.

“MSMEs must get lots of opportunities to be able to export and enter international markets because MSMEs are currently the backbone of the Indonesian economy. We hope that Anindhita Kirana Isa’s unique work ‘Cutemonster’ and other MSMEs that have succeeded in going global can become an inspirational story and be followed by MSME players others in Indonesia,” said Amam.
